Be prepared to enjoy a dining experience created by our 2 rosette chef in the dining room decorated in rich red, at a candle lit table! We are recommended by Michelin as a very 'Pleasant Hotel'

The menu changes daily, with each meal prepared with the finest fresh local ingredients. Soups, breads & ice creams are just some of the home-made delights that testify to the skills and dedication of our well-respected chef! Selections of fresh vegetables accompany the main course and each evening we offer a traditional hot pudding, a cold dessert and a selection of fine Cumbrian cheeses. Our chef has even been known to share a recipe!

Equal importance is given to the preparation of vegetarian dishes and those guests requiring special diets are happily catered for.

Aperitifs & canapés are offered before dinner and coffee, tea & petits fours will round off a memorable evening.

Dinner is incomplete without fine wine to complement our chef, Clive Imber’s delicious cuisine. At the Lodge we offer wines sourced from family growers who use traditional methods, observe conservation cultivation in order to respect the environment and produce ‘clean’ wines.
